According to HPD Assistant Chief Hatcher, authorities received a call about three men who had collapsed in a parking lot. All three men were pronounced dead at the scene when they arrived. Hatcher confirmed that there had been several shootings in the parking lot in the past.
“We’ve had multiple instances of this place,” Hatcher said. “I don’t know why, but there’s a lot of activity going on in this parking lot.”
Hatcher said there’s a nightclub in the parking lot, but it’s unclear if the shooting is related to it in any way.
According to family members, one of the men killed was 29-year-old Gerardo Filomeno.
“He said he was on his way home, but that was the last time I spoke to him,” said his wife, Ashley Montalvo. “I saw his boots.” I knew it was him.”
Philomeno left two children.
