4 Shots After Caribbean Party on Fuqua St. | Houston, TX News

Houston — Shootout After Caribbean-Themed Party Leaves Four people, including two guards, opened fire.according to the Houston Police Department.

The shooting occurred near Tumbling R Ranch/The Fairgrounds shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday. Fuqua Street and Cottingham Street.

According to police, an altercation ensued between some of the attendees and a security guard when the party ended.

After the first shootout, the man picked up his girlfriend from the venue and a second shootout broke out between him and the suspect.

“A total of four people have been shot right now,” said HPD Assistant Chief Thomas Hardin. “We have two guards. One was picking up his girlfriend… And another showed up with his wife at the hospital and said he had attended a party.”

Police said dozens of shots were fired in the area. Hardin also said he didn’t know what started the altercation, but that the shooting occurred after people at the party were asked to leave.
