Subscription Tracker – Renewals and Totals Locally

Use the free Subscription Tracker below: your data never leaves your browser — all work happens on your device, and nothing is uploaded to any server.

Find Out What Your Subscriptions Really Cost

Subscriptions are designed to be forgotten. A streaming service here, a music app there, a cloud plan, a gym, a news site, a meal box: each one costs a small amount, each one renews automatically, and together they quietly drain a surprising sum every month. The Subscription Tracker helps you see the full picture in one place, with monthly and yearly totals that often surprise people.

Using the tool is simple. Enter the service name, its cost, whether it renews monthly or yearly, and its renewal date. Press Add, and it joins your list. The tool immediately calculates your monthly total, treating a yearly subscription as one twelfth of its price each month, and your yearly total, which is the monthly total times twelve. That yearly number is the one that changes behaviour, because a small monthly fee looks harmless until you see it multiplied by twelve.

The renewal date column is just as important as the cost. Many subscriptions renew on different days, and the renewal date is your last easy chance to cancel before another charge. By listing every renewal date together, you can spot clusters: three renewals in one week, for example, or a yearly charge landing in an expensive month. Some people set a phone reminder a few days before each renewal, so they can decide with a clear head instead of discovering the charge afterwards.

A regular subscription audit is one of the easiest ways to save money. Go through your list once every three months and ask three questions about each service. Did I use it in the last month? Would I miss it if it stopped tomorrow? Is there a cheaper plan that covers what I actually use? If the answer to the first two is no, cancel it. If you use only part of a premium plan, downgrade. Many households find one or two subscriptions they forgot entirely, and cancelling them is like giving themselves a small pay rise.

Yearly plans deserve special care. A yearly plan usually looks cheaper per month, and it often is, but only if you actually use the service all year. A yearly gym membership you use in January and abandon by March is not a bargain. A yearly streaming plan for a show you finished in a month is not either. The tracker shows the yearly cost plainly, so you can compare it honestly against how much you really use the service.

Shared subscriptions need a note of caution. If you share a family plan, make sure you know who pays and when, and what happens if someone leaves the group. The tracker lists what you pay, but it cannot see who else uses the account. Keep your own record of shared costs separately if needed, and never share passwords in ways that put your accounts at risk. The tool itself asks for no passwords and no payment details, only the name, cost, and dates you choose to enter.

Privacy is built into the design. Your subscription list is saved in your browser when storage is available. If storage is blocked, for example inside some embedded frames, entries are kept only in memory while the page stays open. The tool states this plainly, so you always know where your data lives. Use the Export button to save a backup file, and Import to bring it back on another device or after clearing your browser. Your financial list never goes to any server, because there is no server involved at all.

Start today by listing every subscription you can find: check your bank statements and your app store subscriptions, and add each one. Look at the yearly total, and let it sit with you for a moment. Then cancel one thing you do not use, downgrade one thing you barely use, and set a reminder before your next renewal. Repeat the audit every three months. Small, regular attention is all it takes to turn subscriptions from a silent leak into a budget you actually control.
