A Son and Brother Remembered
Joshua Thomas Nelson, affectionately known as ‘Big Country,’ passed away tragically on June 5, 2024. He was a beloved son to John and Donna Nelson, and a loving brother to Renee Nelson. Joshua’s niece, Arianna Dube, will forever cherish the bond they shared.
Joshua’s extended family and circle of friends will dearly miss his presence. His aunts, uncles, and cousins held a special place in his heart, and he was always there for them in times of need.
A Man of Faith and Community
Joshua was a faithful communicant of St. Augustine Church in Sidney. He found comfort and guidance in his faith, and he actively participated in parish activities.
Joshua believed in giving back to his community. He volunteered his time to various organizations, including the local youth center and soup kitchen. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
A Passion for Work and Recreation
Joshua’s entrepreneurial spirit shone through in his successful business, JT Nelson Sewer & Drain LLC. He took pride in his work and was known for his high standards of quality.
Outside of work, Joshua enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He had a particular fondness for the picturesque town of Jackman, Maine.
Remembering Joshua
Joshua’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. He was a man of integrity, compassion, and humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
