A Life Well Lived

Ruby A. Denney White, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024, at the age of 94. Born in Cullman County, Alabama on July 20, 1930, Ruby was the daughter of John Barlow and Mary East Denney. She was a devout Christian and a member of Maple Street Baptist Church. Ruby’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Coy White, who preceded her in death. She was also a loving mother to her three children: Sharron Allen, Linda A Tullis (deceased), and an infant son, John White (deceased). Ruby cherished her grandchildren, Michael White and Elizabeth White, and her great-grandchildren, bringing her immense joy.

Ruby was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her beautiful flower gardens and yard. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, and her family and friends were always eager to sample her delicious creations. Ruby was an avid reader and loved to curl up with a good book. She was also a talented seamstress and made many of her own clothes.

Ruby was a woman of great faith and found strength and comfort in her relationship with God. She was an active member of her church and participated in many church activities. She was a kind and compassionate person who always put others before herself. Ruby will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith, and her love for her family and friends.

Her Legacy

Ruby’s legacy of kindness and love will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She taught them the importance of family, faith, and hard work. Ruby was a true example of a life well lived and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Sharron Allen; grandchildren, Michael White and Elizabeth White; and sister-in-love, Fran Tate. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Coy White; infant son, John White; daughter, Linda A Tullis; and grandson, Jonathan White.

Funeral Arrangements

Friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Bro. Earl Harper officiating. Burial will follow services in Union Grove Cemetery where Ruby will be laid to rest alongside her beloved, Coy.
