A Houston METRO bus driver is spreading holiday cheer to his riders in a big way. Raphael LeBlanc’s bus is festively decorated with lights and ornaments, but his generosity goes beyond mere decorations. He also gives gifts to children and adults alike.
“I thought it would be great to decorate my bus for the Christmas spirit,” LeBlanc explained. “So I put up Christmas lights and toys, and then I thought, why not give toys to kids at the bus stop, or stuffed animals to adults? It’s a way to say Happy Holidays and thank you for riding METRO.”
LeBlanc, a three-year METRO employee, was named the December Operator of the Month. His passengers consistently praise his cheerful demeanor and Santa hat, noting the positive impact of his kindness. “It makes me feel loved and recognized,” shared one grateful recipient. “This act of kindness goes a long way.”
ABC13 accompanied LeBlanc to document his heartwarming holiday tradition of spreading cheer wherever he goes.
