Ryan Seacrest is getting candid about the toughest part of hosting New Year’s Eve: his post-ball-drop meal. Speaking in New York City before his annual stint hosting “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” Seacrest expressed his love for the gig and the countdown to the new year. However, he admitted there’s a significant drawback: he can’t eat until 1:30 AM due to his hosting responsibilities. This often leaves him “hungry at the end,” he confessed, especially considering the limited number of open restaurants in the early hours, even in New York City.
Seacrest is still searching for the perfect post-show dining spot and is open to suggestions. When a photographer jokingly suggested Applebee’s, Seacrest didn’t dismiss the idea, even requesting a “pu pu platter” of their best appetizers.
Beyond his late-night culinary challenges, Seacrest also discussed his excitement for the 50th anniversary of “Wheel of Fortune” in 2025, hinting at plans to involve contestants in the celebration. It seems there’s much to anticipate in the coming year.
