Variety and Entertainment Tonight will again team up for the Golden Globes red carpet pre-show.
Variety and Entertainment Tonight have partnered for the second consecutive year to produce the official digital red carpet pre-show for the Golden Globe Awards. This year’s pre-show will air live on January 5th on Variety.com, CBS, and Paramount+.

The digital pre-show begins at 3:30 p.m. PT and will be available on Variety’s digital and social platforms, ETOnline.com, ET’s YouTube channel, ET’s streaming network (accessible via Pluto, Paramount+, Samsung TV, and other platforms), and GoldenGlobes.com. The pre-show will also stream across additional properties including Billboard, Rolling Stone, and SheKnows, all owned by Penske Media Corporation, which holds a joint venture with Eldridge for ownership of the Golden Globes.

Variety’s senior culture and events editor Marc Malkin and Entertainment Tonight correspondent Rachel Smith will host the official pre-show. Fashion coverage will be provided by Variety’s senior entertainment writer Angelique Jackson and senior entertainment and media writer Matt Donnelly. Viewers can expect exclusive interviews with nominees as they arrive at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the ceremony.

“Coming after a record-breaking year of viewership for our Variety video series, we are excited to again collaborate with the Golden Globes and ET on the official digital pre-show,” said Variety co-editors-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh and Cynthia Littleton. “Nobody covers the red carpet like Marc, Rachel, and our team of talented reporters.”

Erin Johnson, executive producer of Entertainment Tonight, added, “‘Entertainment Tonight’ is thrilled to once again partner with Variety on the official red-carpet pre-show. We can’t wait to bring the star-studded start to award season to audiences around the globe, including on our widely distributed ET streaming network.”
