Cab Driver Murdered in Suspected Love Triangle
A 38-year-old cab driver, Mahender Reddy of Jangaon, was found dead early Saturday morning at a Medipally hostel. Police believe the murder stemmed from a love triangle involving the hostel owner.
Mahender, a former resident of the hostel, had been romantically involved with the owner. Despite moving to Jangaon, he continued to visit her frequently. However, a new resident, Kiran Reddy, recently moved into the hostel, sparking suspicion of a new relationship between Kiran and the owner.
On Friday night, Mahender discovered Kiran with the hostel owner. A heated argument erupted, escalating to violence when Kiran allegedly attacked Mahender with a kitchen utensil, inflicting fatal injuries.
Medipally police responded to the scene and transported Mahender’s body to Gandhi Hospital for an autopsy. Both Kiran Reddy and the hostel owner are in custody for questioning, and a case has been registered.
