MUNICH (AP) – Bayern Munich says Alphonso Davies’ injuries will not be as unhealthy as first feared and that his World Cup participation for Canada is “not in jeopardy.”

Davies, 22, suffered what Bayern said was “knee pressure” on Sunday in the a staff win of 3-2 at Hertha Berlin within the Bundesliga on Saturday. He will miss Bayern’s last two remaining video games before the winter break, but should be back in time for Qatar.

Bayern said its medical department confirmed the analysis and “Canada’s worldwide participation at the World Cup in Qatar will not be in jeopardy.”

Canada has World Cup warmups against Bahrain in Manama on Nov. 11 and Japan in Dubai on Nov. 17.

Crépeau started 5 World Cup qualifiers for Canada. Milan Borjan from Pink Star Belgrade started with 14, and Dayne St. Clair from Minnesota one.
