Brendan Joseph Bartel, 38, of Mentor, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Born on October 28, 1986, in Euclid, Ohio, Brendan was the beloved son of Ed and Judy (nee Burke) Bartel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Danielle (Kistner) Bartel; daughters, Alaina and Ellianna; and a large extended family, including brothers, Kevin and Sean; uncles, aunts, and numerous cousins.

Funeral Arrangements

Funeral Mass for Brendan will be held on Saturday, May 25, at 10 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 24, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Rt. 615, N. of Rt. 2), in Mentor.

Burial will follow the Mass at Mentor Cemetery.

Legacy

Brendan’s memory will live on through his generous act of donating his kidney to his Godmother, Sr. Maureen, in 2014.
