Chicago police have issued a community alert regarding a series of apartment burglaries in the Bronzeville and North Kenwood neighborhoods. At least three separate incidents have occurred within the past two weeks, all involving forced entry through doors or windows. Thieves gained access and stole items from each apartment.
The most recent burglary took place on Saturday near 46th Street and Drexel Boulevard. Other incidents occurred: between midnight on December 12th and 10 a.m. on December 18th in the 800-block of East 46th Street; between 9 p.m. on December 12th and 4:10 p.m. on December 13th in the 4400-block of South Drexel; and at 9:50 a.m. on Saturday in the 4600-block of South Drexel.
