WEATHER ALERT: Severe Thunderstorms Ground Flights at IAH
Severe thunderstorms impacting the Houston area caused significant disruptions at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) on Tuesday afternoon, December 24, 2024. All departures from IAH were grounded beginning at 3:56 p.m., with the ground stop initially expected to last until 5:15 p.m. By 5:45 p.m., the FAA had lifted the ground stop.
