A drive-by shooting on Monday afternoon left three men injured on a West Side Chicago sidewalk. The incident occurred just after 1 p.m. in the 0-100 block of South Kostner Avenue in the West Garfield Park neighborhood. According to Chicago police, the victims—aged 39, 43, and 46—were standing on the sidewalk when an unknown vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire.
The 43-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition. A 39-year-old man, shot in the back, was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. The third victim, 46 years old, sustained a leg wound and was also transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition.
Area Four detectives are currently investigating the shooting. Police have not yet released further details.
