Chicago police report a man was killed during a home invasion in Grand Crossing.

A 28-year-old man was killed in a home invasion on Chicago’s South Side Tuesday night, according to Chicago police. The shooting occurred around 9:38 p.m. in the 900 block of 78th Street in the Grand Crossing neighborhood. Police say two men forced their way into the victim’s apartment and opened fire. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not yet been released. No arrests have been made, and Chicago police are continuing their investigation.
