Sheriff Ed Gonzales accidentally shot and killed a 4-year-old at an apartment complex off Bunmel North Houston Road.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — An infant was shot dead by another in northwestern Harris County Sunday night, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Gonzales tweeted About the incident at 8:40 p.m.
According to preliminary information, a 3-year-old picked up a gun and accidentally shot a 4-year-old at an apartment complex on Bunmel North Houston Road near Tomball Parkway (SH 249).
Gonzalez said the child was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gonzalez said other people were inside the apartment unit at the time of the shooting, but did not say if any of them were related to the children.
