Clyde Leroy Knight Jr., affectionately known as “Fuzzy” to friends, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2023, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 68. Born on September 18, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Clyde spent his early years in Arkansas before moving to Dallas, where he became a notable figure in the community.
Clyde began his career as a model with the Kim Dawson Agency, where his charm and good looks made him successful. However, his true passion lay in the world of fine jewelry, where he became a beloved sales director at Skibell Fine Jewelry in Dallas’ Preston Center. For over two decades, Clyde built a reputation for his warmth, dedication, and outstanding service to clients. His professional life was marked by his deep personal connections, particularly with the Skibell family, for whom he became not just a colleague but a cherished friend.
Known for his generous spirit, Clyde’s legacy extends beyond his professional achievements. He was actively involved in charitable causes, including his support of DFW Rescue Me, a local animal rescue organization.
Clyde is survived by his close friends, colleagues, and extended family. In his memory, Skibell Fine Jewelry has established “Clyde’s Candle,” with proceeds benefiting DFW Rescue Me, reflecting his love for animals and his lasting impact on the community.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on October 14, 2023, in Preston Center to honor his memory and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
