Obituary: Coleen Gail Crenshaw, 93

Coleen Gail Crenshaw, 93, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2023. She was born on June 19, 1930, in Delta, Iowa, to Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Stevens. Coleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Coleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Crenshaw, her brother Dennis Stevens, and her sons Terry Davis and Larry Davis. She is survived by her longtime partner, Richard Ellian; her brother, Allan Stevens; her sons, Jerry Davis and Jeff Crenshaw; and her daughter, Kim Shipley.

Growing up in Delta, Iowa, Coleen excelled in her academics and was an active member of her community. She had a passion for the arts, especially photography, and was a member of several camera clubs. Coleen’s love for travel took her to many destinations around the world, including Las Vegas, Branson, Missouri, England, Ireland, Scotland, and Germany.

In her early years, Coleen worked as a model before moving with her husband to Denver, Colorado. She was a dedicated and loving mother who raised her children with kindness and compassion. Coleen had a warm and welcoming personality, and her smile lit up every room she entered. She had a gift for making people feel loved and accepted.

In her later years, Coleen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always up for a good laugh and loved to share stories about her life and travels. Coleen will be remembered for her unwavering love and support for her family, her infectious laughter, and her zest for life.

A memorial service will be held in Delta, Iowa, at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Coleen’s memory.
