WEATHER ALERT
Cypress, Texas – Christmas Eve in the Houston area brought heavy rain and strong thunderstorms, resulting in damage to at least one business. An AutoZone store located at 13739 Cypress N Houston suffered a roof collapse on its rear side due to the severe weather in the early morning hours of Christmas Day. KPRC 2’s Gage Goulding visited the store following a tip from an Insider, where the manager confirmed the storm damage. The manager stated the store was closed and unoccupied at the time of the incident. Significant damage is evident. KPRC 2 photojournalist Michael Lemons captured aerial footage of the damage using a drone. Another threat of severe weather is anticipated today.
