A Dedicated Entrepreneur

After his military service, Dean embarked on a successful career in both retail and the scientific field. He purchased a small store named Shop Rite in Perry Village, where he met his future bride, Carmen Cain.

Prior to starting a family, Dean worked as a purchasing agent at the Diamond Shamrock Company in Fairport Harbor. When the company closed, he joined Ricerca Bioscience Lab in Concord, Ohio.

A Man of Unwavering Faith

Dean’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. He accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age and dedicated his life to sharing his faith with others. He was actively involved at Faith Baptist Church in Perry, Ohio, where he served as a deacon and played a key role in establishing a bus ministry.

Dean’s legacy of faith extended beyond his local church. He served on the board at Stony Glen Camp for over 30 years and was instrumental in the growth of Painesville Baptist Church in his later years.

A Devoted Family Man

Dean and Carmen shared 67 years of love and happiness together. They raised four daughters: Deborah, Denea, Amy, and Emily. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather, who cherished the time he spent with his family.

A Life of Adventure in Retirement

Dean and Carmen enjoyed 25-plus years of retirement at Baker Acres in Zephyrhills, Florida. They filled their golden years with travel, spending time with loved ones, and pursuing their hobbies.

A Legacy that Endures
