Jenness L. Robbins, a longtime resident of Searsmont, Maine, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024, at the age of 85. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Jenness was born on June 15, 1939, in Belfast, Maine, to John and Mary Robbins. She grew up in Searsmont and graduated from Belfast Area High School in 1957. After graduation, she attended Husson College in Bangor, where she earned a degree in Business Administration.

Jenness worked for many years as a bookkeeper and office manager for several businesses in the Belfast area. She was a dedicated and hard-working employee, and she always took pride in her work.

In her spare time, Jenness enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and traveling. She was a member of the Searsmont Historical Society and the Belfast Garden Club.

Jenness was a kind and compassionate woman who always put others before herself. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Jenness is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Robbins; her children, John Robbins and his wife, Sarah, of Belfast, and Mary Robbins of Portland; her grandchildren, Emily and Ethan Robbins; her sister, Jane Doe of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

A private burial service will be held at a later date.
