Dennis M. Crane, aged 72, passed away peacefully at his home in Hobart, Indiana, on September 23, 2024. Born on August 7, 1952, in Hammond, Indiana, Dennis spent his life deeply rooted in the community he cherished. Known for his kindness and generosity, Dennis was a beloved figure among family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Rosella Crane, his brother Donnie, and other close family members, Dennis is survived by his loving siblings: Jeffery Crane, Dannielle Roszkowski, and Karen Opperman. He will also be deeply missed by his nephews, nieces, and great-nieces and nephews, who remember him as a warm and caring uncle.
A dedicated family man, Dennis’s legacy extends beyond his immediate family, with the impact of his love and support felt throughout his community. He is remembered not just for his personal connections but for his commitment to his faith.
Visitation will be held at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, on Monday, September 30, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday, October 1, at 11:00 AM at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Hobart. Burial will take place later that afternoon at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
