In 1961, driven by his aspirations, Edgar ventured to the United States in search of a brighter future. He settled in Reno, Nevada, where he not only pursued his education at the University of Nevada, Reno, but also found the love of his life, Cathy.
Cathy and Edgar’s love story spanned over five decades, a testament to their enduring bond and shared commitment to each other’s happiness. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Chico, California: A Place to Call Home
In 1979, Edgar and Cathy made Chico, California, their permanent home. It was here that they raised their family and became active members of the community. Edgar’s passion for agriculture led him to establish a successful farming operation, specializing in the cultivation of almonds and walnuts.
Edgar’s dedication to his craft was evident in the meticulous care he took with his crops. He was a true steward of the land, taking pride in providing for his family and contributing to the local economy.
A Devoted Family Man
Edgar’s greatest source of joy and pride was his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Cathy; his daughter and son, Loeta and Jesse Robles and Leo and Brianne Oviedo; and his grandchildren Hayden, Cash, Julia, Nidas, Elliana, and Lorelai.
