The waiver wire remains ripe for the picking, which fantasy basketball executives should be thankful for. Several recently recommended players are still widely used. However, instead of rehashing the case for players I already made in the opening weeks of the season, this week’s column focuses on multiple short-term streaming options and long-term speculative acquisitions.

Without further ado, here are eight players to add in Week 7.

Bogdan Bogdanović, Atlanta Hawks (49 percent on the roster)

Bogdanović (knee) has not yet played a single game this season and it is unclear when he will be ready to make his season debut. Nevertheless, it is a proven asset when it comes to producing statistics and can make a big contribution in multiple categories. Trusting players with proven experience is generally a good strategy, and Bogdanović will likely be signed in most leagues by the time he’s healthy enough to make his debut in 2022-23.

Craig made the most of his recent increase in playing time Cameron Johnson (Knee), who will probably miss at least another month. Over the past five games, Craig has averaged 12.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.2 3-pointers, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks in 29.2 minutes, giving him a sustainable a short-term option for most leagues.

In the last seven games, Williams averaged 12.4 points, 3.9 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 three-pointers in 29.1 minutes. The rookie wing is well below Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey in the attacking pecking order. However, he does well off the bench in a role that allows him a decent usage rate. As such, he is worth a speculative addition if this continues.

Cade Cunningham (Shin) is out indefinitely, opening the door for other Pistons to make an impact, especially on offense. Burks has never been shy about making his shots, scoring 15 points or more in six of his last seven games while averaging 16.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.1 treys, 1.7 assists and 1.1 stolen ball. Anyone who needs help in the scoring department should definitely look to Burks, at least for now, especially if his minutes continue to increase.

Over the past six contests, Martin has averaged 15.0 points, 6.2 boards, 3.0 dimes, 2.3 3-pointers, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks in 39.5 minutes per night. Jimmy Butler (Knee) could be close to returning to the lineup, but until then, Martin is a great streaming option. Those who already have Butler on the roster might be wise to add Martin if Butler’s injury lingers or if he suffers a setback upon his return.

Even if Pascal Siakam (adductors) appears to be nearing a return to the active lineup, Scottie Barnes (Knee) is dealing with a minor injury. In addition, most of Toronto’s frontcourt has been affected by the injury virus, and Young has been called upon to play a decent amount of minutes as of late. In fact, Young has turned back the clock averaging 12.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.2 steals in 30.2 minutes a night over the last five games. Even if it’s just another matchup, Young is worth considering in most formats.

Joel Embiid (Foot) will miss his third straight game Friday night, and the injury could be short-term, maybe even long-term. In the meantime, Reed has clearly squeezed out the veteran Montrezl Harrell for the backup center behind two-game averages of 12.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.5 blocks in 26.5 minutes. Those who already list Embiid might want to add Reed, if only for streaming purposes on nights when Embiid is off.

In the first three appearances this season, Bryant averaged 10.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 15.7 minutes. He’s had very little luck staying healthy over the past few seasons, but the Lakers are still in dire need of help Anthony Davis Bryant played at a high level and could develop into a significant role in the future. Bryant is a particularly intriguing speculative addition.
