Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is renowned for its pivotal role in American history. However, nestled within this historic town lies a unique and delightful attraction: Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum and Candy Emporium. This charming store combines a passion for confectionery with an unexpected admiration for elephants. Co-owner Isaac Bucher explains, “We originally started as a general store, and we’ve evolved into a candy store and Elephant Museum. Mr. Ed collected elephants; he opened a museum for the public to see, and along with that, he sold a lot of candy.”
Inside, visitors are greeted by a captivating display of over 12,000 elephants, alongside an impressive selection of over 400 fudge flavors. Adding to the nostalgic charm, fresh peanuts are roasted on-site in a vintage 1902 peanut roaster.
