Good Deed Turns into Robbery in Southwest Houston

The Houston Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a teenage suspect involved in a purse-snatching incident. The incident occurred on the morning of February 6th outside a convenience store in southwest Houston.
Police report that a woman was pumping gas on the 4900 block of W. Orem Drive around 9:20 a.m. when a young man approached her and asked for a ride. The woman agreed, and the teen got into her vehicle. However, upon reaching the 13800 block of W. Orem Drive, the teen grabbed the woman’s purse and fled on foot.
The suspect is described as being in his early to mid-teens. He was last seen wearing a white jacket and khaki pants.
