Head-On Crash Kills Kentucky Woman, Injures Five


A tragic head-on collision in Conecuh County, Alabama, claimed the life of a Kentucky woman and injured five others on Thursday, December 2024. Virginia L. Schueman, 64, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, perished at the scene of the accident, which occurred around 9:20 a.m. on Alabama State Route 55 near the 47-mile marker. Schueman was a passenger in a 2023 Tesla Model 3 that collided with a 2019 Honda Accord.

The impact resulted in serious injuries to several individuals. Both drivers and another Tesla passenger were airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, with undisclosed injuries. Two children, aged 9 and 12, who were also passengers in the Tesla, sustained injuries and received treatment at a local hospital. The accident occurred approximately one mile south of McKenzie.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Kendra McKinney confirmed the details of the crash. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and further information is pending.
