After a stormy start to Christmas morning in Southeast Texas, the remainder of the holiday will be much calmer. Roads may be wet for a few morning hours, but conditions should improve throughout the day. Expect mostly cloudy skies with a few lingering showers possible early in the afternoon. Temperatures will be warm, reaching the mid-70s.
For those attending the Texans game on Wednesday, there’s a slight chance of lingering showers during the tailgate, but the forecast predicts partly cloudy skies around noon with temperatures in the 70s.
However, don’t let your guard down on Thursday. Another storm system is expected, potentially bringing strong to severe thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening. These storms could produce hail, gusty winds, and there’s a possibility of tornadoes. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
With the warm temperatures this week, a white Christmas is out of the question. Above-average temperatures are expected as we approach the end of 2024.
