Following Thursday’s tornado outbreak, Friday’s weather will be relatively calm. Expect dense morning fog, but the afternoon will be partly sunny with highs in the low 70s. Download the Storm Tracker 2 weather app from KPRC to stay informed.

A cold front will bring rain and thunderstorms, beginning as scattered showers ahead of the front’s arrival Saturday evening. The most significant severe weather threat will likely be east of Louisiana. The front will bring a line of scattered storms.

Temperatures will remain in the 70s, with conditions gradually drying out by the weekend’s end. The forecast looks favorable for New Year’s Eve celebrations on Tuesday night. New Year’s Day will be wet, with temperatures starting 2025 in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
