Class 7A No. 10 Enterprise edged out 5A No. 1 Ramsay 47-45 on the first day of the 42nd annual Huntsville City Classic at Huntsville High School. The Rams’ last-second attempt to send the game into overtime fell short.
This year’s tournament features sixteen teams from across the state. Defending champion Huntsville defeated last season’s runner-up, Austin, 67-53 in the final game of the evening. This victory marked Huntsville’s first City Classic championship since 1985, only their third win in the event’s history. The tournament continues through Saturday in two gymnasiums at Huntsville High School.
