Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charlene Ann Sorrentino, who passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 85. Charlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Early Life and Family

Charlene was born in 1939 in a small town in upstate New York. She was the youngest of five children and grew up in a close-knit family. After graduating from high school, Charlene moved to the big city to pursue her dreams. She met her future husband, John, at a dance and they fell in love immediately. They married shortly after and had two children, a daughter and a son.

Career and Accomplishments

Charlene was a dedicated and hardworking woman who held a variety of jobs throughout her life. She worked as a secretary, a receptionist, and a bank teller. However, her true passion was working with children. She volunteered at her children’s school and eventually became a teacher’s aide. Charlene loved working with the children and they loved her back.

Retirement and Legacy

After retiring from her teaching job, Charlene enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to travel, read, and garden. Charlene was also a talented artist and enjoyed painting and drawing. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter.

Service Information

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Denver, Colorado. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charlene’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Charlene will be forever remembered for her love of life, her dedication to her family, and her kindness to all she met. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
