Jackson's 2025 Decision: Alabama CB Speaks
Alabama football’s cornerback corps, which saw significant turnover before the 2024 season, will boast a familiar look in 2025. Both starting cornerbacks, Domani Jackson and Zabien Brown, have announced their return to the Crimson Tide.

Jackson, who will be a senior in 2025, made the announcement on Instagram, stating, “This season didn’t end how we wanted, and the JOB ISN’T FINISHED YET. I will be returning for the 2025 season to make my last one the best one.” In his junior season, Jackson solidified his starting role, appearing in all 13 games and contributing 51 tackles, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two interceptions. His most impactful play came against South Carolina, where a crucial interception prevented an upset at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Before transferring to Alabama from Southern Cal before the 2024 season, Jackson expressed gratitude in his post, thanking his family and teammates for their support.

Brown, a sophomore, will also return to start alongside Jackson in 2025. Their combined experience will provide stability and leadership to the Crimson Tide defense.

Jackson’s decision to forgo the NFL Draft follows similar announcements from several other Alabama players, including LT Overton, Tim Keenan III, and Deontae Lawson, all of whom have opted to return for another season. The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL Draft is January 15th. This wave of returning players bodes well for Alabama’s prospects in the upcoming season.
