Jean Marie Cashman (1947-2024)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Marie Cashman, a cherished member of our community. Jean passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on March 15, 1947. She met the love of her life, Raymond Cashman, when she was just 14 years old. Together, they enjoyed 58 years of blissful marriage.

Jean possessed a heart filled with compassion and a deep desire to serve others. She dedicated her life to various helping professions, including registered nursing, firefighting, and EMT services for the town of Pelham.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Jean was an active community member and a pillar of strength for those around her. Her unwavering kindness, infectious sense of humor, and boundless love for her family will be forever remembered.

Jean leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond; her children, Raymond Jr. and Dawn; her grandchildren, Corey, Fallon, Daniel Jr., Joseph, and Alexa; and her great-grandchildren, Lillian, Jackson, Elliot, Lincoln, and Everett.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday evening, May 23, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM at the Pelham Funeral Home, 11 Nashua Rd., Pelham, NH. A committal service will take place at the Gibson Cemetery in Pelham on Friday morning, May 24, 2024, at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the Dementia Society of America at www.dementiasociety.org.
