Kody Brown’s polygamous life is officially over. After the departures of Christine, Janelle, and the dissolution of his marriage with Meri, only Robyn remains. In a preview clip from the January 5th episode of TLC’s *Sister Wives*, Kody directly addresses his future with Robyn, asking, “Will you accept me as a monogamist? Is there a problem with that?”
Robyn’s response is fraught with emotion. Earlier in the season, she expressed doubt and even questioned her own choices in remaining with Kody. In this sneak peek, she acknowledges an identity crisis, stating, “I’m always going to stick with you. I’m just having an identity crisis.” She later confesses to the camera, “Yes, I’ll always stick with him, and I love him. This is not what I wanted for my life,” adding that she feels “sort of stuck” after the tumultuous events of recent years. Robyn previously described the breakdown of the plural marriage as akin to experiencing a death, expressing immense remorse for its failure.
Kody, for his part, appears ready for closure, declaring, “Whatever I’ve done in these marriages, they’re done. Whatever happened between me and them, I’m done.” He explicitly states his intention to not reconcile with Meri or Janelle, surprising Robyn with the news that Janelle had directly told him she was finished with their relationship.
The episode promises a pivotal moment for the Browns, marking a definitive end to Kody’s polygamous lifestyle and showcasing the emotional aftermath for both him and Robyn. *Sister Wives* airs on TLC Sundays at 10/9c.
