A big bull shark has been spotted metres from Perth’s Swan River shoreline, just a month after a teenager was fatally attacked.
The three metre long predator was sighted by a member of the public between the fourth and fifth jetty berths at Barrack Street in the CBD.
Surf Life Saving WA said a member of the public called it in about 12.20pm.

The sighting comes a month after teenager Stella Berry was killed by a shark near the Fremantle traffic bridge in February.
Berry, 16, was pulled from the water with critical injuries and despite the efforts of emergency services could not be saved.
The Shenton College student’s death was the first in the Swan River in 100 years.

Just days later, teen fisher Kai Boyle reeled in a 2.5m bull shark in East Fremantle.
The monster catch forced authorities to close river swimming areas in Fremantle, East Fremantle and Mosman Park.

“It was in the river swimming past,” he said at the time.
“They may potentially be dangerous to others and people can’t get their head around how big they get in the Swan River right here in Perth.”
