A Life Well Lived

Melba E. Stamm, 87, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1936 in a small town in Iowa, Melba had a remarkable journey that was marked by her unwavering faith, unwavering spirit, and unwavering love for her family.

Melba grew up in a close-knit family and was always surrounded by love. She was a bright and inquisitive child who loved to learn. She attended a local high school, where she excelled in her studies and was active in extracurricular activities.

After graduating from high school, Melba met the love of her life, George Stamm. They were married in a beautiful ceremony in 1956 and spent the next 67 years together, raising a family and building a life filled with love and happiness.

Melba and George welcomed three children into the world: John, Mary, and Susan. Melba was a devoted mother and always put her children’s needs above her own. She was involved in their school activities, and she always made time for family dinners and outings.

In addition to being a wonderful mother, Melba was also a dedicated homemaker. She took great pride in her home and always kept it spotless. She was a gifted cook and baker, and her family always looked forward to her delicious meals.

Melba was also an active member of her community. She volunteered her time at the local library and was a member of the church choir. She had a strong faith in God, and she always lent a helping hand to those in need.

Melba lived a long and fulfilling life. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life

A celebration of Melba E. Stamm’s life will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Melba E. Stamm will be forever loved and remembered.
