Mildred J. “Milly” (Gawlik) Dailey

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, Mildred J. “Milly” (Gawlik) Dailey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Salemhaven in Salem, New Hampshire, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the loving wife of the late Robert E. Dailey, who passed away on January 22, 2013.

Milly was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Frederick and the late Beatrice (Dupre) Gawlik. She attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1951.

A full-time mom, Milly enjoyed painting, gardening, and spending time with her husband and family in Boynton Beach, Florida, and Barnstead, New Hampshire. She was very social and was most happy when she was with her family and dear friends.

Milly is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen Schubert and her husband, Barry, of Derry, New Hampshire, and Colleen Dailey of North Chelmsford, Massachusetts; a son, Owen Dailey, and his wife, Lynda, of Peterborough, New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Jennifer Meininger and her husband, Jeff, of Lexington, Massachusetts, Alex Schubert of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tracie L. Dailey and Robert O. Dailey, both of Peterborough, New Hampshire; two great-grandchildren, Maeve and Riley Meininger; a sister, Vivian Gonsalves of Hudson, New Hampshire; a brother, Frederick Gawlick of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Genevieve Kobiela.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday morning, May 23, 2024, at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME, 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M., followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church in Pelham at 11 o’clock. Her burial will be held on Friday morning, May 24th, at the State of New Hampshire VA Cemetery in Boscowan, NH, at 10:30 A.M. (Please meet at Cemetery).
