Moment missing girls are reunited with family after desperate search (2023-03-15 06:47:43)

Two girls initially declared missing in Adelaide have been found and reunited with family after days of desperate searching.

Daniella, aged 7, and her sister Indianna, 6, were found safe and well after they went missing after a visit with their biological mother on Saturday.

Officers searched several properties as family members feared for the girls’ welfare.

The search came to an end as police announced Daniella and Indianna were located on Tuesday evening.

The girls were found at an Ingle Farm home, in Adelaide’s northeast, after neighbours heard their cries for help, according to Ilmhunt.

The girls were reunited with their father, stepmother and stepsisters.

“It feels the best, like the best feeling,“ stepmother Stephanie Mende excitedly told Ilmhunt.

“Thank you to everyone who had helped.”

The two children had been missing since Saturday, with South Australian Police searching for the pair.

“I’m scared … we sit here all night thinking the helicopters found them and nothing,” Mende previously told Ilmhunt.

They were last seen at their home in Kidman Park in Adelaide’s west about 11am on Saturday.

“Missing children, Daniella and Indianna have been found safe and well,” authorities said.

“Thank you to everyone for their assistance.”
