New NYPD images show suspects in Queens nightclub shooting injuring 10 teens.

Ten teenagers were injured in a mass shooting outside the Amazura nightclub in Queens, New York, on New Year’s Day. Police have released images of the suspects and are actively investigating the incident. The shooting occurred around 11:20 p.m. outside the club on 144th Place, following a private event celebrating the life of Taearion Mungo, a 16-year-old who was fatally shot in Brooklyn last October. Mungo would have turned 17 on January 4th.

Approximately 90 people attended the birthday gathering. According to NYPD Chief of Patrol Philip Rivera, four individuals approached a group outside the venue and fired over 30 shots, striking three men and seven women aged 16 to 20. All victims sustained injuries but are expected to survive. The suspects fled the scene in a gray Infiniti Q50 with a red interior and New Jersey license plates, last seen on the Van Wyck Expressway. Police Chief Rivera emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for such violence and assured the public that those responsible would be brought to justice.

Mayor Eric Adams also condemned the shooting on social media, stating that there is “no room for this criminal behavior in our city.” The NYPD is investigating whether the shooting is gang-related, but has ruled out terrorism as a motive. Amazura nightclub released a statement expressing sadness and offering their cooperation with the ongoing police investigation. They pledged to work closely with law enforcement to help bring those responsible to justice.
