Hanceville Community Bids Farewell to Anthony “Tony” Louis Goodwin
With heavy hearts, the Hanceville community mourns the loss of Anthony “Tony” Louis Goodwin, a beloved resident who passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the age of 63.
Legacy of Love and Loss
Tony is survived by his brother Kenny (Brenda) Goodwin; his niece Kandiss Goodwin, his great niece Saban Goodwin, his best friend Dudley Brock, and his faithful dogs, Buddy and Bully. He was preceded in death by his son Coty Goodwin; his father S.T. “Bull” Goodwin and his mother Doris Louise Goodwin.
A Farewell Gathering and Celebration of Life
To honor the memory of Tony Goodwin, a visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home, located at 1901 2nd Avenue, N.W., Cullman, Alabama 35055.
A funeral service will follow on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home. Tony Goodwin will be laid to rest in the serene surroundings of Valley Springs Cemetery in Cullman, Alabama.

“Tony was a kind and generous soul who always put others before himself,” said Dudley Brock, Tony’s best friend. “He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.”
“My uncle was a wonderful man who always had a smile on his face,” added Kandiss Goodwin. “He was a great friend and a loving father and brother.”

Tony Goodwin was actively involved in the Hanceville community, lending a helping hand wherever he could. He will be remembered as a pillar of support for his family and friends, a dedicated member of the community, and a loving companion to his faithful dogs.
