Obituary
Brenda Kay Bailey, age 81, of Hanceville, passed away on May 7, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1942, in Jasper, Alabama, to Woodrow Wilson Ryan, Sr. and Joyce E. Burleson Ryan.
Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy Dale Ryan; sister, Nina Jean Maples.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Lacy Richard Bailey; two sons, Harold Bailey and Travis Bailey; one daughter, Regina Dale White (Byron); sisters, Ramonia Joyce Kimble (Dale), Connie Ann Smith; grandchildren, Seth Harrison Bailey (Jackie), Kelsi Briana White, Austin Tyler Bailey (Jessica), Parker Evan Bailey (Becky), Blair Trenton Bailey (Tiara); great-grandchildren, Gavin Bailey, Krew Bailey, Elena Bailey, Tripp Bailey, and Noah Bailey; a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Interment will be held immediately after the service at New Salem Baptist Cemetery located at 590 Center Grove Rd. Somerville, AL 35670.
Brenda will be remembered for her love of farm life, her beautiful flowers, and her feeding and admiring birds. She was also a fierce protector of her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved nothing more than being with them to laugh and enjoy each other’s company.
She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church when she was able to attend. Brenda will be very missed by the ones she loved and who love her.
