His early years were spent in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where he developed his love for nature and outdoor pursuits. In his senior year of high school, Carl’s family relocated to Norridgewock, where he graduated from Skowhegan High School in 1979.

After high school, Carl embarked on a four-year service in the United States Army. His time in the military instilled in him discipline, camaraderie, and a deep sense of patriotism. Upon his honorable discharge in 1983, Carl returned to civilian life with a renewed purpose.

Carl pursued a career as a Mechanical Millwright, a profession that allowed him to combine his mechanical aptitude with his passion for problem-solving. For 25 years, he dedicated his skills to Sappi, where he earned respect and admiration for his expertise and dedication.

Outside of work, Carl’s true joy lay in spending time with his family and exploring the great outdoors. An avid hiker, fisherman, canoeist, and skier, he reveled in the tranquility of nature and the thrill of adventure. He shared his love of these activities with his children and grandchildren, creating countless cherished memories.

A Devoted Family Man

In 1992, Carl’s life took a beautiful turn when he married the love of his life, Bethany Fitzmaurice. Together, they built a loving and supportive home, filled with laughter, warmth, and unwavering devotion. Their marriage was a testament to the enduring power of love and companionship.

Carl’s greatest pride and joy were his children, Brandon Rendell and Emily Rendell Bolduc. He was an exceptional father, instilling in them the same values he held dear: kindness, integrity, and a zest for life. Carl cherished every moment with his children and grandchildren, creating a legacy of love that will forever endure.
