It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Esther Papoutsis Anderson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Esther passed away peacefully on May 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Early Life and Education

Esther was born in Sparta, Greece, on April 15, 1935, to George and Maria Papoutsis. She was the youngest of three children and grew up in a close-knit family. Esther attended the University of Athens, where she earned a degree in nursing. After graduation, she moved to the United States, where she worked as a nurse for over 40 years.

Family and Friends

Esther married John Anderson in 1960, and they had two children together, George and Maria. Esther was a devoted wife and mother, and she loved spending time with her family. She was also a loyal friend, and she always had a smile on her face. Esther will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Legacy

Esther was a kind and compassionate person who always put others before herself. She was a tireless advocate for her patients, and she always went the extra mile to help those in need. Funeral Arrangements

A funeral service for Esther will be held on June 2, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago, Illinois. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois.
