Obituary: Andrea Michele Stephens, 45, Vinemont

Andrea Michele Stephens, 45, of Vinemont, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Andrea was born on December 31, 1978, to Winston Stephens and Audrey Smith Stephens in Birmingham, Alabama. She grew up in Vinemont and graduated from Vinemont High School in 1996. She went on to attend Wallace State Community College, where she earned an associate degree in nursing.

Andrea worked as a registered nurse at Cullman Regional Medical Center for over 15 years. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse who loved helping others. Andrea was also a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she loved to travel.

Andrea is survived by her mother, Audrey Smith of Vinemont; her son, Jared McClure of Cullman; her daughter, Taylor McClure of Vinemont; her granddaughter, Adalyn McClure of Vinemont; her brother, Nathan Stephens of Vinemont; and her sister, Rachel Stephens of Cullman.

Andrea was preceded in death by her father, Winston Stephens; her grandmother, Margaret Cofield; and her uncle, David Smith.

A memorial service will be held at Cullman Funeral Home on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Andrea’s memory.

Tributes

Andrea was a wonderful person who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She always put others before herself and was always there to help anyone in need. Andrea was a true friend and will be forever remembered for her kindness, compassion, and generosity.

I had the pleasure of working with Andrea for several years at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse who always went the extra mile for her patients. She was also a great friend and always had a smile on her face. I will miss her dearly.

Andrea was a beautiful person inside and out. She was always kind, caring, and compassionate. She loved her family and friends more than anything in the world. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
