Obituary: Concepcion N. Larrabee Passes Away at 82
In Memory of a Beloved Farmington Resident
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Concepcion N. Larrabee, a cherished resident of Farmingdale, on July
10, 2023, at the age of 82. She passed away peacefully in Augusta, surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation and Funeral Service Details
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Staples Funeral Home, located at
53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, Maine. A funeral service will follow on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 10:00 AM at New
Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, Maine.
A Life Remembered
Concepcion Larrabee lived a long and fulfilling life, dedicated to her family and her community. Born and raised in
Farmingdale, she was a graduate of Farmingdale High School. After graduating, she went on to pursue her passion for
nursing, becoming a registered nurse and working tirelessly to care for others throughout her career.
Outside of her work, Concepcion was actively involved in her community. She was a dedicated member of the Farmingdale
Historical Society and the American Legion Auxiliary, where she volunteered her time and made a positive impact on her
neighbors’ lives.
Concepcion was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her
husband of 62 years, John Larrabee; her children, Michael Larrabee and his wife, Sarah, and Patricia Larrabee and her
partner, James; her grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, and Matthew; and her great-grandchildren, Sophia and Ethan. She is
also survived by her brother, José Martinez, and her sister, Maria Garcia.
A Legacy of Love and Service
Concepcion Larrabee’s legacy of love, service, and community involvement will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends will be remembered forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Concepcion’s memory to the Farmingdale Historical
Society or the American Legion Auxiliary.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta for their
exceptional care and support during Concepcion’s final days.
