James M. Parker Jr., of Rockford departed this earthly life January 29, 2023. He was born May 24, 1961 in Chicago, IL the son of James M. Sr. and Lessie Parker. James lived in Rockford most of his life coming from Chicago. He was employed as a Over the Road Truck Driver by XPO Logistics. James graduated from Auburn High School class of 1979, later received is Associated degree from Rock Valley College, Bachelors degree from, Cardinal Stretch University and Masters Degree from Judson College.
James leaves to cherish many loving memories, his daughter Paris Lessie Parker; sisters, Cytoys Gulley, Cheryl Settles and Evelyn Parker; two brothers, Kelvin Parker and Michael Woods; a host of other relatives and friends including former wife, Gail Triplett. He was predeceased by his parents.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
