Bristol, WI Resident Passes Away at 76

Janice Eileen Woda, a long-time resident of Bristol, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones and sister, Ginny. She was 76 years old.

Early Life and Education

Janice was born on September 21, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Robert and Kathryn (Studinger) Farrell. She graduated from Gateway Technical College in December 1993 and went on to pursue her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse in 1994.

Career and Retirement

Janice worked at Wheaton St. Francis Home Healthcare from 1994 until her retirement. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse who touched the lives of many patients.

Personal Life and Family

Janice was a devout Catholic whose faith was extremely important to her. She was married to Randall Woda on June 4, 1966, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Randall preceded her in death on November 17, 2015.

Janice is survived by her children, Daniel Woda, Wendy (Nestor) Delgado, and Robert Woda; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia “Ginny” Freivalt.

Hobbies and Interests

Janice enjoyed watching movies, telling stories, and playing cards and board games with her family. She also had a deep love for animals and took in many pets over the years.

Funeral Arrangements

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Holy Cross Catholic Church – Bristol, 18700 116th St, Bristol, WI 53104. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM.

Interment will be private at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
