Maxine was born in Augusta, Maine, on July 5th, 1943, to parents William and Mary Briggs. She grew up in a close-knit family, with two siblings, William Jr. and Barbara. Maxine was a bright and inquisitive child, excelling in her studies and always eager to learn new things.

In 1962, Maxine met the love of her life, Robert Buzzell. They married a year later and spent the next 58 years building a beautiful life together. They welcomed two children, Michael and Michelle, who were the center of their world.

Maxine had a successful career as an administrative assistant at Kennebec Valley Community College for over 30 years. She was known for her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor.
