Vienna – Maxine (Briggs) Buzzell, 79, passed away peacefully on May 31st, surrounded by her loving family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Early Life and Family

Maxine was born in Augusta, Maine, on July 5th, 1943, to parents William and Mary Briggs. She grew up in a close-knit family, with two siblings, William Jr. and Barbara. Maxine was a bright and inquisitive child, excelling in her studies and always eager to learn new things.

In 1962, Maxine met the love of her life, Robert Buzzell. They married a year later and spent the next 58 years building a beautiful life together. They welcomed two children, Michael and Michelle, who were the center of their world.

Career and Community Involvement

Maxine had a successful career as an administrative assistant at Kennebec Valley Community College for over 30 years. She was known for her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor. Maxine was also an active member of the community, volunteering her time at the local library and soup kitchen.

Retirement and Legacy

After retiring, Maxine and Robert enjoyed spending time with their family and pursuing their passions. They traveled extensively, visited their children and grandchildren, and took up new hobbies like gardening and painting.
