It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Robinson Plaisted, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Roger passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023, at the age of 61.

A Passion for Learning and Discovery

Roger was born on April 21, 1962, in Burlington, Massachusetts. From a young age, he exhibited an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a keen eye for detail. After graduating from Burlington High School in 1981, he continued his education at Middlesex Community College, where he earned an associate’s degree.

Roger’s passion for learning extended beyond the classroom. He was an avid reader, spending countless hours exploring a wide range of topics, from history and science to art and technology. He was particularly fascinated by electronics and computers, and possessed an uncanny ability to fix and assemble them with ease.

A Talented Craftsman and Artist

In addition to his technical prowess, Roger was also a gifted craftsman and artist. He had a natural talent for photography, capturing the beauty of the world around him through his lens. He also enjoyed sculpting, creating intricate pieces that showcased his creativity and attention to detail.

A Cherished Family Man

Roger’s family was the center of his life. He was a devoted father to his two children and a doting grandfather to his five grandchildren. He cherished every moment he spent with them, sharing his love of learning, laughter, and adventure.

Roger will be deeply missed by his sisters, Eleanor (Plaisted) Pass and Elizabeth “Libby” (Plaisted) Samarjian; his nieces and nephews, Rebecca Pass, Stephanie Samarjian, Josephine Samarjian, Benjamin Pass, Jeffrey Pass, and Floyd Pass; and all who knew and loved him.

Throughout his life, Roger left an enduring legacy of innovation and compassion. His unwavering pursuit of knowledge and his ability to see the beauty in the world made him an inspiration to all who crossed his path.
